Privacy policy

What I do with your data and why

The use of my web page is generally possible without entering any personal data. Where personal data are collected (e.g. name, address, email-address), they are entered, as far as possible, on an entirely voluntary basis. I process those data only in accordance with the provisions of German data privacy laws.

The following provisions describe the type, scope and purpose of collecting, processing and utilising personal data. This data privacy policy applies only to my web page. If links on my page route you to other pages, please enquire there about how your data are handled in such cases.

I would like to point out that data transmission over the internet (such as when using email communication) may be subject to security breaches and cannot be protected from access by third parties.

Inventory data

(1) Your personal data, insofar as these are necessary for this contractual relationship (inventory data) in terms of its establishment, organisation of content and modifications, are used exclusively for fulfilling the contract.

(2) Without your explicit consent or a legal basis, your personal data or documents are not passed on to third parties outside the scope of fulfilling the contract. After completion of the contract, your data are blocked against further use. After expiry of deadlines as per tax-related and commercial regulations, these data are deleted unless you have expressly consented to their further use.

This website uses Matomo (formerly Piwik), a free software web analytics system, to monitor traffic on my website. Matomo records the general geographical vicinity of visitors as well as their browser and operating system, and records their navigation within the site. This helps me gauge the impact of my materials and improve my work.

The Matomo system preserves privacy by anonymising visitors’ IP addresses. This means that I will not store any personally identifiable information about you, even though your visit produces a record of a visit by someone.

Matomo also respects the “Do Not Track” preference offered by some browsers, so if you have this option set, Matomo will ignore your visit.

If you’re not using “Do Not Track” and you would rather that I don’t record your visits at all, please opt out of analytics by unchecking the box below. If you choose to opt out, the system will set a “piwik_ignore” cookie, which indicates to Matomo that it should completely ignore your computer.

According to the Federal Data Protection Act, you have a right to free-of-charge information about your stored data, and possibly entitlement to correction, blocking or deletion of such data. Enquiries can be directed to the following email address:
